On Wednesday 7th December pupils from Years Three and Four kicked off the theatre season with a visit by Lamphouse Theatre Company to enjoy their production of Treasure Island followed by an exciting opportunity to participate in drama workshops with UROCK Creative.

Utilising both the School’s hall and classrooms pupils were engaged in learning about the creative processes required to bring a stage to life and a story to production. The pupils were had such fun and benefited immensely from this event; learning about geography and mathematics through Treasure Island themed map coordinates.

The event was a huge success, pupils equally enjoyed the performance and workshops and were particularly impressed to discover that the twenty acted parts in the production were played by just three actors!
