This year’s Infant Nativity was entitled ‘A Midwife Crisis’ and, as usual, every child in the Infant Department played a part in the success of the show.

Year Two performed some tunes on their violins, violas and cellos before becoming the choir for the main event. Year One took the speaking roles with our Reception pupils providing excellent support in the form of walk-on extras.

The story of the birth of the baby Jesus was told from the point of view of a rather frantic midwife and her faithful but downtrodden donkey, Steve. As they searched high and low through the streets of Bethlehem, they met shepherds, sheep, Kings, camels and some rather rebellious angels. Steve had some great ideas but the midwife, who was ‘having a little midwife crisis’ didn’t listen because ‘no-one ever listens to a donkey’! Singing, dancing and some rather impressive acting graced the stage, resulting in rapturous applause at the end.
