Through our Personal Social Health Education (PSHE) programme, children acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to manage their lives now and in the future. PSHE lessons prepare our pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.

This also contributes to the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils. Children build their personal identities, confidence and self-esteem and understand what influences their decisions. Developing self-understanding, empathy and the ability to work with others enables our children to enjoy healthy and productive relationships in all aspects of their lives.

Our aim is to develop an emotionally intelligent child, a child who is sensitive to cultural differences, has well developed skills in relationships, is motivated, manages and controls feelings, has empathy and self-awareness. There are wide ranging opportunities in School which develop personal skills including empathy.

Each Year group develops a programme which is tailor made to suit the needs of the Form. This is based on the Cambridgeshire PSHE programme which includes learning on e-safety, sex and relationships and financial management. The Form Teachers take great care to ensure that children are content and flourishing. PSHE lessons take place within the security of the Form where the children discuss a range of topics.  We value our close home - School partnership and communication between teachers and parents is strong.
