The LJS Hockey Tournament was the U11A’s first match of the season and it was a big occasion with seven other schools taking part.

We were up against Kimbolton to begin with, this was very tough and we were happy to have Mr Robertson on the side-line cheering us on. We kept possession of the ball well but they snuck in one goal. Our next match was against Stoneygate. We improved our game and Bibiana scored our first goal; then a big team effort made the final score 2-0. Bedford was next.

It was a hot day but we kept going, and even though it was really tough we managed to draw. After these great matches, we made it through to the Plate semi-final and we managed to beat a very strong Stamford team with a great goal from Willa. Now we were into the finals where we were playing Brooke Priory. The whole team were running up and down the pitch, giving our best but sadly a last minute goal secured the win for Brooke.

In the end we were runners up but we were all happy with how we played. Well done to Foremarke Hall for winning overall. Every LJS player gave it their all, well done team and bring on the next match!
