Our Reception children had a wonderful time this week. Dressed as beautiful princesses, smart princes, kings, queens, soldiers (and a dinosaur!) they walked excitedly to Laxton Castle ready for the Cinderella Ball.
On arrival, we were greeted by Queen Gascoigne’s royal guard. Everyone tiptoed up the sparkly spiral staircase into the Long Room where they were formally presented to the Queen of Laxton. Much practising of bowing and curtseying ensured all of the children greeted her majesty correctly!
After dancing and playing with balloons a sumptuous feast was enjoyed which was kindly prepared by parent helpers. A wonderful time was had by all.
