"I feel hugely privileged to lead LJS: a school where everybody is somebody."

At Laxton Junior School, everybody is somebody. This belief shapes everything we do. Every child at LJS is truly known, not just as a pupil, but as an individual with their own personality, passions and potential.

It means your child won’t get lost in the crowd. They will be celebrated for who they are and encouraged to become the very best version of themselves.

It’s why happiness and wellbeing matter here as much as academic success. Children thrive when they feel cared for, and they learn best when they feel confident and safe to take risks.

It’s why we personalise learning for each child. We help them discover their strengths, nurture their curiosity, and provide the right support or challenge to help them grow.

It’s why our teachers go the extra mile, because they know the right encouragement at the right moment can unlock a child’s potential for life.

The best way to experience LJS is to experience it for yourself. Come and meet our children and staff, explore our space, and see how we give children the best start to their educational journey.
