We are delighted to announce our new House Captains, elected by both Prep pupils and staff to lead their Houses throughout this academic year.

Gloucester – George and Zara

Lilford – Olivia and Leo

Whitmore – Ben and Lara

Burghley – Rithvik and Imogen

Being selected as a House Captain is a significant honour and reflects the respect and confidence their peers and teachers have in them. As role models within our school community, they will play an important leadership role, supporting and encouraging fellow House members while helping to organise a wide range of House activities and events.

Throughout the year, our House Captains will lead their teams in a variety of competitions and challenges, including rugby, hockey, netball, cross country, cricket, singing, general knowledge, drama and the much-anticipated Christmas Tree Competition. They will also help organise their House Charity Days, inspiring participation and teamwork across the school.

The House system is an important part of school life. Pupils proudly wear the badge of their House colour on their blazers and actively participate in a range of competitive and worthwhile activities. House points are awarded throughout the year for outstanding work, excellent behaviour, commitment to school life and sporting achievements.

A key responsibility of our Year 6 House Captains is to encourage and support their House mates in all they do, from selecting sports teams and motivating participants to organising charitable initiatives. Each House chooses its own charity to support annually, often selecting causes that have a personal connection to pupils and their families.

The House competition culminates at Speech Day, where the House with the most points is awarded the prestigious Faulkner Cup for Best House. It is also a special occasion for our House Captains, whose leadership journey concludes with an end-of-year speech reflecting on their House’s achievements, challenges and memorable moments.

Congratulations to all of our newly elected House Captains. We look forward to seeing the enthusiasm, leadership and House spirit they bring to the year ahead. We wish them every success in their new roles
