We were delighted to welcome Brooke from Rural Mummies to our school recently, where she enjoyed a tour of our facilities and spent time meeting pupils, staff and our Head, Mrs Waller. Rural Mummies is a one stop guide to parenting in Stamford, Rutland and the surrounding areas.

During her visit, Brooke had the opportunity to experience daily life at the school, explore our learning environments and discover the wealth of opportunities available to our children both inside and outside the classroom. From our specialist facilities and Woodland Garden to our broad co-curricular programme, the visit provided a valuable insight into what makes our school such a special place to learn and grow.

In her review, Brooke was particularly struck by the atmosphere she encountered throughout the school, commenting:

“Perhaps the most impressive thing about our visit to Laxton was the atmosphere: children were learning keenly but calmly, they were happy to talk and answer questions and were clearly enthusiastic about what they were learning and the opportunities they have at their school.”

She also highlighted the caring and supportive environment that underpins the school experience for every child:

“It’s a place where children get to be children: to learn, explore, play and develop in the most safe and nurturing of environments.”

We were delighted that Brooke’s visit reflected so many of the qualities that are important to us: a nurturing community, inspiring teaching, exciting opportunities and a genuine focus on helping every child flourish.

Thank you to Brooke for taking the time to visit and share her experiences.
