Twenty pupils from Years 4 and 5 proudly represented our Prep School at the East Anglia Southern Area Athletics Competition, held at the prestigious Cambridge Athletics Stadium.

The children demonstrated fantastic enthusiasm, determination and team spirit as they competed against schools from across the region. Taking part in a wide range of track and field events, including sprints, relays, long jump, and throwing disciplines, our pupils rose to the occasion and delivered some outstanding performances.

For many of the children, this was their first experience of competing in such a large-scale athletics event. They showed great courage and resilience, embracing the challenge of performing in a competitive environment while supporting and encouraging one another throughout the day.

The atmosphere at the stadium was inspiring, with pupils cheering on their teammates and celebrating each other’s efforts and achievements. Their behaviour, sportsmanship and positivity were exemplary and reflected the values we are proud to promote within our school community.

Well done to everyone who took par, you did yourselves and the school proud!
