Our annual Sports Day was a fantastic celebration of teamwork, determination and fun, with all pupils from Reception through to Year 6 taking part in a full day of athletics activities at our full-size athletics track, giving children the exciting opportunity to experience a professional-style competition environment.

Throughout the day, pupils enthusiastically competed in high jump, long jump, sprints, hurdles, long-distance races, throwing events and relays. It was wonderful to see the effort and perseverance shown by all participants, whether they were racing for the finish line, aiming for a personal best, or cheering on their Houses.

We were especially proud to celebrate some outstanding individual achievements:

  • Summer in Year 4 broke the school record in the high jump with an impressive performance.
  • Ciana in Year 5 set new records in both the hurdles and the 75m sprint, showcasing exceptional speed and agility.
  • George in Year 5 achieved a new record in the long jump, demonstrating remarkable power and technique.
  • A special mention goes to Felicity in Year 5,  who equalled the existing high jump record, a fantastic accomplishment.

Although there had been a spell of rainy weather leading up to the event, we were fortunate that conditions on the day were kind, creating a perfect atmosphere for a memorable Sports Day.
