A Personal Introduction

As Head of Admissions and Communications, it’s my privilege to help families discover what makes our school such a special place to learn, grow, and thrive. Whether you’re just beginning to explore your options or ready to take the next step, I’m here to guide you with a genuine commitment to making your journey as smooth and personal as possible.

Our school is a vibrant, nurturing community where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to shine. I look forward to sharing the heart of our school with you: the joyful moments, the inspiring stories, and the strong sense of belonging that defines us.

I have been at LJS since 2002, when I joined as a Year One teacher before moving up to Head of Infants in 2005. We always talk about ‘the LJS Family’ and it really does feel that way. Our school is small enough for everyone to know everyone and yet big enough that everyone can find their own place. My daughters both completed their primary education here and benefitted hugely from everything LJS has to offer. My eldest, who went on to our local state grammar school, has recently graduated and has just started her first job as a primary school teacher, while my youngest daughter attended Oundle School and is now studying Performing Arts…so we are a living testament that LJS really does prepare children for the right senior school for them.

I can honestly say that LJS and Oundle are very special places, for both staff and children alike. I consider myself most fortunate to have been part of the LJS family for over twenty years and still marvel at the fact that there is never a dull moment – for all the right reasons!

It is my privilege to be able to welcome you to LJS, no matter what stage you are at in choosing a school for your child. I warmly invite you to get in touch, ask questions, and come see us in action. We can’t wait to welcome you.
