Activities
At Laxton Junior, a veritable feast of opportunities exists for pupils to indulge their interests and passions for hobbies and sports outside of timetabled lessons.
The staff are supported in their quest to provide extra-curricular activities by both parents and outside agencies, who provide activities such as rowing, dance, flower arranging and karate! Build a model aeroplane, play rugby, join the science club, play chess, practise your netball and rounders skills, enjoy a cricket net, explore new computer software, learn the step-over turn in football, have fun with fabrics or play board games with your friends … it's up to you!
All work and no play? … How dull!
Drama presentations, concerts and sports tournaments all play a part in making our school a diverse and interesting place in which to contribute.
At our annual Speech Day presentations, the contribution of good all-rounders figures highly.
